Wrap to meet the workpiece

A chain can follow the outside of round stock and irregular profiles. Choose a secure wrap with the chain fully engaged, and check that the work cannot roll before applying load.

Adjust the hold before locking

The knurled screw lets you set the clamping pressure. Release the handles before making a large adjustment, then close them again to check the fit.

Chain contact can mark a surface. Use these for appropriate holding and clamping tasks, never for lifting, towing or suspending a load.
