04 / Measure before you choose
A bigger wrench is useful only when it fits the job. Compare the opening and leave enough space for the handle to move.

07 / The roots of MAXPOWER
MAXPOWER began in Wendeng, China, in 1968. Its manufacturing story grew from adjustable wrenches into dedicated pipe-wrench, locking-plier and socket production.

08 / Materials, making & checking
Different parts do different work. Start with the material and construction of the exact tool, then look at how the manufacturer forms, finishes and checks its range.
The 14-inch pipe wrench uses an aluminum I-beam handle to keep carrying weight down. Its serrated jaws are intended for suitable round metal pipe.
See the pipe wrench ↗The 7-inch pliers wrench uses drop-forged chromium-vanadium steel. Smooth parallel jaws contact the flats of a nut or fitting without serrated teeth.
See the pliers wrench ↗The 24-inch breaker bar pairs a chromium-molybdenum head with a chromium-vanadium handle. Its 1/2-inch drive needs a matching socket.

01 / Form
The group operates both cold- and hot-forging workshops to shape metal components.
02 / Refine
CNC tooling and heat-treatment facilities support dimensional consistency and the required material properties.
03 / Finish
Published options include chrome plating, black phosphate and black oxidation. The finish depends on the product.
04 / Check
The manufacturer’s testing center, established in 2014, lists material analysis, torque, hardness, fatigue and service-life testing among its capabilities.
MAXPOWER records ISO 9001 quality-system certification in 1996 and CNAS accreditation of its testing center in 2017. A management-system certificate and laboratory accreditation have different scopes from a certificate for an individual tool.
The manufacturer also lists JIS, VPA/GS, KS and VDE approvals across its wider range. Match any required approval to the exact model and its documentation. Handle color or a cushioned grip does not establish an electrical-insulation rating.

Start with the contact surface. Serrated pipe-wrench jaws grip suitable round metal pipe. Smooth parallel jaws are for flat-sided nuts and fittings. Compare the opening and the room around the workpiece.
The listed socket set uses a 1/4-inch drive. The 24-inch breaker bar uses a 1/2-inch drive, so they do not connect directly. Check drive size and intended use before choosing a socket.
